KELCIE AVALLONE

Kelcie writes, "I started Wrestling when I was 13.  I wanted to be like my older sister Karissa Avallone who grew up wrestling boys in Oklahoma 1998 - 2012. As a Sophomore in High School, only 16 yrs old and in my 3rd full year of wrestling I won a Oklahoma OSSAA State title at 110lb for my school, Pawhuska High School. I also won Adidas Nationals in Kansas City this year.

I often  wrestle for The Oklahoma Super Girls, a travel national team, in tournaments in other states.

I have gained a lot of knowledge from all of my Coaches, Karissa Avallone, Austin Legg, Chris Rumsey, Nate McCartney, Chris Walker, Gerald Hurricane Harris (Oklahoma Super Girls) and my Dad Tony Avallone.

My normal workout routine is lifting at 6:30am till 7:30am before school and then wrestling practice from 2:30pm till about 5:30pm. I often practice at home on my wrestling mat doing shadow drills.

I put God 1st, family 2nd, academics 3rd (4.0 student) and then Wrestling.

I would like to attend law school at Iowa and wrestle there but I am keeping my options open. I am a proud member of the Choctaw Nation and would like to work for them as an attorney when I finish Law School.

I LOVE Wrestling!  I have met many  friends from around the country. Wrestling has taught me so many life lessons and skills that I will need as I go through life.

I have a two-year High School record of 65-5 with 52 pins. My goals are to win two more state titles for my school, get 100 wins and 100 pins, and graduate as Valedictorian."
